Mechanical Splice
The Mechanical Splice (MS) Unit allows the field termination without fiber optic connectors or Arc Fusion Splicer, and is the technology that underpins Fujikura’s FAST Connectors.
The size and shape of the MS Unit is comparable to a fusion splice sleeve, and the only tools necessary are a fiber stripping tool and a fiber cutting tool like Fujikura’s CT50 Cleaver.
